Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A darkness fell upon the mountain;

no one stirred, not even the fountain.

The common clambered to their crannies and nooks,

whilst the royals settled in piles upon piles of books.

All was silent in the bramble and thorns,

all except for one beast of black horns.

The creature stood sturdy with a belly of coal

just as the ancient prophecy foretold.

Anthuas put his jaw to the skies,

he bellowed "Mighty tyrant, prepare to die!"

All were bustling and all were awake,

all except one who would simply sit and wait.

Night of the Fanged calmly searched for a reply,

"So that no-good dragon dared to lie."

It was a clash of universes, dark against dark.

Only one would be victorious with a beating heart.

The chosen one clawed and bit at the tyrant

While the king stared with the same eyes of virent.

The battle was over before it began;

The young one was foolish: he was one against a clan.

That is until a dashing fellow joined the fight

and the prophecy was fulfilled that very night.
