Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

BrightVioletBeauty is a bratty Purple Dragon hatchling. She's spoiled because of her lineage, she is the love child of two groups of even-gen Dragons. On her mother's side is a prestigious line of purebred Purple Dragons. Her father is a purebred Pink Dragon. BrightVioletBeauty is treated like a princess by both sides of her family, and she does not understand that the rest of her cave doesn't really care about her breeding. She is very stuck up, so she doesn't have many friends. Her only friends are fellow family members, VioletSmile and BrightBoldGypsy.
