Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Arukai developed her affinity for magic at a young age, evidenced by her fascination with the bottled powders, herbs, tinctures, and potions used for enchantments kept in the family's high-security storage vaults. When she was old enough to start helping with the daily chores, Arukai begged to be able to help sort through the clan's potion-making equipment. Nowadays, she takes daily inventory of all the materials in storage, puts together requests for potions and individual ingredients, and reorganizes the bottles as they're emptied. Her siblings know not to bother her when she's concentrating. The last time someone surprised Arukai while she was levitating bottles to sort them, she accidentally smashed three containers of sneezing powder. The resulting cloud took several hours to clean up.
