Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Calensar was the first of his kind to appear in the lair. His egg had been found by Raylene and the guardian dragon had been unable to do anything but rescue the egg and bring it home. At first the only one of his kind, he was quite lonely and spent much of his time with the sunrise dragons who understood his need for solitude. It is from those lonely days that he still carries an aloof quality to him, holding himself apart. Even now as more of his kind are born and found he worries that he is alone. Young Whisparie is slowly changing that, though the fact that their first two eggs were forced from the layer by the king has made Calensar even more determined that he will end up alone in the end.
