Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is quite rare, not by breed or lineage, but for the simple reason that he prefers to live far away from any other living creature. He had tried to live with other dragons once, but they were cruel and accused him of having divided loyalties between two holidays. His father is a dragon devoted to peace and holiday cheer, his mother on the other hand, is something of a more sinister kind. She burns whole forests to the ground just to consume it in the form of choking ashes.

This holiday prince never asked for the hatred to be directed at him, nor does he deserve it. Despite his parent's choices, their actions do not reflect his heart. He prefers to help others in need, and if a traveler happens to get lost in his neck of the woods he will do what he can to guide that lost soul to safety.
