Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Natali and Soli the Ribbon Dancers were among the wild-born winter spirit dragons brought to the Breedery for the first time during during the storied Winter of Wishes. For years, Lurhstaap had braved the cold to hunt for dragon eggs, but Ribbon Dancers seemed to have vanished from the wild. But one year, the dragonmaster's patience was rewarded at last.

Natali likes meeting other nocturnal dragon breeds, especially those who share her herbivorous diet and gentle ways. She has several Lunar Herald friends, and finds their wing-illusion enchantingly beautiful. She also likes to spend time with Luminas and Skywings, in spite of their different ways; she often meets with a group of females of other breeds to trade tips on making and keeping their scales as bright and reflective as possible. For this reason, even among other Ribbon Dancers, Natali dazzles. When both moons are full, their beams strike rainbows off her brilliantly burnished flanks as she moves.
