Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A few days after Christmas, when Christmas songs were falling silent and the Christmas spirit was ending, a mysterious hatchling was brought to cave by a young girl. It was all red and it had a holly leaf on it tail. The girl said it was a lovely gift from a far land. They had travelled all Christmas through mountains and fjords to bring Christmas spirit to the North. The hatchling, Herlig, glowed mysteriously and all dragons could feel how their Christmas spirit was rising and they began to sing Christmas songs again. The young girl made her final glance to the hatchi before walking away from cave.

Ever since then, he has been a main source of Christmas spirit in the cave. Sometimes, he can be spotted looking to the West, at the snowy mountains of his past and the memories of the young girl who brought him where he is today.
