Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jiminy Cricket is very well-known in his cave for his expression whenever something surprises him: "Yumpin' Yiminy!"  While the older dragons usually just give a yelp and the younger ones like to use "Oh My Gold", he alone speaks like he's hundreds of years old when in reality he's one of the youngest adults.  Besides his catchphrase, Jiminy Cricket loves to climb things—trees, walls, Stone dragons, his owner... no perch has been untouched by his golden scales because of the urge he feels to get off the ground.
