Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t move much, and appears to be covered in stone.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. However, the wings look too heavy to fly and are filled with beautiful crystal.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A curious mix of elements within Shardgleam's rocky composition gives her hide a unique trait; it glows. A soft blue light constantly radiates from her, and those who have seen her say the gentle luminescence is very soothing. But not everyone appreciates this tiny dragon. A few jealous female silvers, fearing that her glow will rival the beauty of hers, have hired mercenary dragons to finish her off. However, this tiny female's loving personality and her special gleam often convince the would-be murderers to befriend her rather than have her for supper. As a result, her own little army is rapidly growing larger, and if the silvers don't stop trying to get her killed, they might find they've turned the tables on themselves!
