Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ione is extremely fast, thanks to her lithe body and long legs. She has a sharp tongue as well, and often reprimands the hatchlings when they cause trouble. Ione is very gossipy, and rumors almost always begin with her whispering something into the ears of her close friends, Clementina and Olympia. When it comes down to a battle, she is witty and strong, making her a great warrior.
