And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A very well-mannered and fun-loving little dragon, Aiko Brighani is the seemingly most perfect frozen hatchling in the cave. She is an idol to the other hatchlings. They describe her as being head-strong, rational and compassionate. However, her stubbornness tends to get her and her fellows into trouble wherever they go. Sometimes she forgets that not everyone is as agile as she is and asks them to do exercises they cannot succeed in. When they don't manage it, she uses to go sulking for a little before returning.

Her best friend is the frozen purple hatchling Lila Mandarine, whom she trusts with her life. When Aiko is with Lila, she feels like nothing can stop her. They usually play catch and do acrobatics. Sometimes, a few other hatchlings join them. Aiko is the official leader of their little hatchling group.
