Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Whipple tail is a good guy but is often restless and this usually gets him in trouble. His best friend since he was a hatchling was Mossilina, a Neotropical dragon. But they, rather recently, had a falling out. Now Mossilina avoids Whipple at all costs. Unsure what to do from this predicament, he often turns to Neo for advice. Neo, a Bright Winged Wyvern, is his soft-spoken mate. The end of the friendship has completely crushed him, and knowing how wise Neo can often be, he hopes she will find the solution. But, to Whipple's surprise, Tea, a Mint dragon, is still happy to talk with Whipple and even sympathizes, even though Mossilina is his mate. Though Whipple is hurt by Mossilina's cold attitude, he has high hopes the friendship will be rectified in due time. Even when things look bleak, he never gives up!
