Royal Crimson Dragons are so named due to their massive size and confident, regal bearing. Most of the time they are laid back, ignoring non-prey creatures smaller than themselves, although they will occasionally take fresh kills from other dragons as a reminder of their place in the social order. Although there are few other dragons large enough to pose a threat to Royal Crimsons, they have little tolerance for potential rivals and will fiercely defend their territory from such intruders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The Duke of Odd once lived all alone in a secluded cave in a lonely mountain.

This was because it had used to be the residence of a monster of an unknown breed that had stolen away his egg from the nest of his mother. Another unknown factor killed off the monster before they could eat Duke's egg, which hatched soon after all the danger had passed.

Duke survived on his instinct to live; eating insects, mice, and other living things that had been emboldened to come out of hiding by the passing of the larger monster. Water dripped from the ceiling of the cave.

As he grew older and wiser, he realized he was terribly alone. Not even a predator had come to end his pointless existence.

Eventually Duke grew wings, and his immediate thought was to fly himself out of this hellhole.

After many practice flights, Duke had become a fairly good flier and was ready to leave. But he was older and wiser than he had been as a hatchling. One truth kept him in the cave.

He knew no other existence.
