Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Cheddra isn't quite as happy as the others of the clan. It cannot have children, go close to fire for a long time, and will never need to eat. It has always thought what fresh meat or herbs might taste like. It loves Swissish and they, like Papyrus and Flameless, two Paper dragons in the clan, wish to to have their own children. They will sadly never breed. Instead, they help watch eggs and eggs only for mothers off running errands. They pretend the eggs are their own and care a lot. Being edible, they hide away during festive holidays or if there was to be a great feast. Nobody would ever dare take a bite out of them but some unwary hatchling craving for some sharp cheddar cheese might eat them by accident. That would never do.
