Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

MagiCute is the second dragon in the Hatchie Club. He likes to fly, and was taught by Speedy. Therefore, he is fast. MagiCute also is good with magic, by the adult Magi Dragons.
MagiCute was scared of dying, and another dragon already had been cast with infinite youth, so he asked to be given a spell. The other dragon wasn't too smart, and got the spell before getting scales. MagiCute was smarter, and waited until he got wings and scales.
