Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings.

And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Morgana is the most graceful hatching in the Crystal Clan. Even though he is frozen and will never gain true recognition among the other dragons, Morgana enjoys dancing and creating beautiful patterns in the snow. Humans that travel in the mountains spot the markings and interpret them as signs that the snow would be calm enough for them to climb higher. Wanting to be useful, Morgana started making the patters when he knew the skies would be clear. Humans that are grateful for the help leave food for him by the cave where they believe a snow god watches over them. Morgana enjoys the food and the tales he spreads, while also enjoying what he loves best.
