Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

User Description

What an odd creature, this misshapen living Cheese, but they have remained alive for centuries despite their strangeness. Their kind are few in the span of the Great Continent, and they stick together in their oddities, their chirping instead of speech, their preference for the warm, wet, stickiest places. Few can determine what these creatures are communicating, but they do seem to have some mode of expression they use among their kind.

This particular creature, Joyful Cheese (so they are known), is peculiar for their age. The oldest of their kind, this one's name is a bit of a cruel joke. You see, this creature seems to be in some sort of perpetual sorrow, the emotion clear even in their alien, soft features. Occasionally they will perk up, hearing some distant sound, but upon locating the source (a twittering bird, a fox's cry), the creature will return back to their sighs, their downturned gaze.

Perhaps the others of its kind know their heart, but to all else, they are a mystery.
