And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Qolc loves frolicking in the springtime air, and is most happy in the spring on sunny, mild days when the flowers are in bloom. She will often take bundles of flowers back to her cave as gifts to the other hatchlings. If she finds a particularly flower-bedecked field she will often pick the entire field and stuff the cave to the brim with beautiful flowers. When that happens, Marcucio, the cave leader has to have Eneltiar the fire dragon burn them out. This causes Qolc a great deal of frustration and a burning hatred for poor Eneltiar, who finds her flowers quite lovely.
