Azure Glacewing Dragons are one of the largest breeds. They grow to overwhelming sizes; folklore tells of ancient dragons outgrowing even lakes and mountains. They are quite oblivious in nature, and rarely care for—or even notice—the presence of other, smaller creatures. When hungry, an Azure Glacewing might strike suddenly, securing a tasty snack. An adult Glacewing is often more commonly found in the sea than in the sky or on land, due to their enormous weight. However, come mating season, Azure Glacewings return to the forests in which they were born, so that the young have lots of game to feed on.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Watchful guardian of the lair, Sahkoru stalks the seas close to his family's cave, constantly making sure nothing is out of order. While he always remains vigilant in his watch over those he cares about, Sahkoru is still a glacewing at heart, and is often completely oblivious to just about everything else that surrounds him. This often results in somewhat amusing and sometimes even embarrassing moments, such as when he swims directly into the side of a cliff, completely oblivious until he actually bumps into it, or when he runs right into another dragon, sometimes still not noticing even after he's swam right over them. Despite being mildly amusing to watch when he's passive, if Sahkoru sees something wrong, he's no longer funny. He'll rush right into any threat, and a huge roar paired with his massive size is usually enough to scare anything away. Though, if something has the audacity to stay, they'll be in for the beatdown of a lifetime. Sahkoru has no mercy and takes no prisoners.
