Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

One wouldn't expect a harvest dragon to spend much time thinking about anything besides his next meal, but Byrith composes poetry in his spare time.  While much of his poetry is concerned with food, it's hardly his primary subject, no matter what skeptics and cynics might think.  He creates haiku about his surroundings, limericks about humorous incidents, and sonnets of a deeply romantic nature about an unknown dragon.  These last have been the subject of much debate, as every dragon has a different theory about who Byrith is describing.  Only Byrith knows for sure if this dragon even exists, and he's not telling.
