Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Acdea believes herself to be a human soul trapped in a dragon body. She insists that she can feel the scalessness of her skin if she just closes her eyes and that she should only be referred to as "girlself" when pronouns are used. When others point out, that "human" isn't a gender and that humans themselves have mostly no problem with being referred to as "she" or at least "they", she begins screaming about anxiety attacks and discrimination. So far she has succeeded in driving everyone away who had at least a tiny bit of interest in understanding her.
