Lord Percy Percy is the heir to the Duchy of Northumberland and a bit of a twit. Lord Percy is devoted to Lord Edmund Blackadder, and he believes to be Blackadder's friend, which may or may not be true, depending on the swinging mood of Edmund Blackadder. Regardless of reoccurring insults, it is Percy's enterprise to support Blackadder during various crisis Blackadder manages to get himself into. This includes acting as stand-in best man at Blackadder's wedding, faking a voyage to the Cape of Good Hope as well as being painted with the baby-eating Bishop of Bath and Wells. To help Blackadder with his financial troubles, Percy engaged in the arts of Alchemy. In the attempt to transform random materials into gold, Lord Percy discovered the secret to create "green", a mysterious substance that soon found use in the production of precious gems such as brooches.
