Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

ChallengerChild was named for the ship on which she was hatched, the Challenger, an honorable vessel. She was the daughter of the Captain, another black dragon whose magical prowess could sink entire armies. Spending her days on the ship, ChallengerChild learned the importance of discipline, diligence, and above all teamwork. No matter how skilled of a warrior one was, the ship and her crew came first, a lesson she learned not long after hatching.

The ship had been attacked and was sinking fast. The captain had ordered the crew to abandon ship. ChallengerChild didn't want to leave. She clawed at the sailors who grabbed her and desperately tried to make her way back towards her mother, but she was but a hatchling. Before her eyes, she watched her mother give out her final attack... and die, defending the crew and vessel to her last breath.

Though saddened by her mother's death, Challenger has grown to appreciate her honor, and she strives to live and die as nobly as her mother.
