Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bekurua is a mischievous wyvern. Constantly playing tricks on her friends, she loves nothing more than a good prank. As a sign of her handiwork, she'll often leave behind one of her golden scales as a sort of "make-up" gift for the would-be victim. As a hatchling, she loved to pester the Magi dragons, often interfering with their magic experiments. She especially loved playing tricks on Okorasa, and one time swapped out a dragon scale she had placed in a vial with her own. Whether this had any outcome in changing Oxorasa's work or not, Bekurua doesn't know, and doesn't seem to particularly care.
