Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Honestem is a fair dragon, not quite as vain as other dragons of his breed but with a near obsession with justice. He would be a cop in a human society as he carries out justice blindly, serving as a watch and a guard during his free time. Despite his strictness for justice, Honestem is actually fun to be around and popular with younger dragons as he helps to make sure they are treated fairly and not pushed around. He is an effective "big brother" of younger dragons. Honestem also has a love interest in Argentum, another dragon of the cave and plans on spending his life with her when not otherwise occupied.
