Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sadato is a quiet, semi-reclusive member of the cave, perhaps typical for a black dragon, oh, was it mentioned, he's one of the strongest fighters in the cave. Sadato is what you might call typical anti-villain, though he would like to believe he was fully and unadulterated villain. He dislikes to show any of his emotions, and is a firm believer in that personal information is personal. Most of the cave tries to tease him, but so far he shows resistance, which Tayro finds the most difficult. Tayro, Nakiyu and Sadato seem to know each other from way back, and it's commented that Sadato might possibly have no heart by the younger members of the weyr. Tayro often snickers when he hears this, and pokes Sadato.
