Spitfires are a desert breed of dragon. Their dull brown bodies contrast with their brilliant turquoise markings, and they only blaze brighter when these dragons fight. Spitfires are notorious for their territorial natures, and the wing-edges of most are ripped and tattered before their first year is out. Spitfires are also noteworthy for their brilliant blue fire, which is used not for hunting or fighting, but rather for making glass caves from the sand, in which the dragons can soak up the sun.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Turquoisika BlueFire (after the gemstone: Turquoise) is the 63rd clan dragon, and for her, a very special transformation was enacted. After returning with her egg, The Clan Mother met in seclusion with the clan elders, discussing her latest discovery. Considering the special nature of the breed, all agreed it would be wise to perform some renovations by transporting a portion of her native habitat into the clan cave. Although this was no small undertaking, with careful planning and significant magical expenditures, the clan elders were able to provide her a dry, sandy place to call home. To this day, she remains grateful for being rescued from the bitterly cold winter into which she was born, although she rarely admits such emotions outright! Although she has engaged in confrontations with the other clan dragons, she is far from typical for her kind, preferring solitude over direct conflict, spending much of her time working the white sand of her beaches with her blazing blue fire.
