Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When he finally had enough support, King Yule struck against Nightburner, the old leader of the Featherwing Weyr. At last, his plans were coming together! At last, he could claim leadership of the Weyr and rid it of the inbred, long-lined dragons! The battle raged for years and so many died, but finally, Nightburner fled with his followers. King Yule had won.

He thought his fight over, but at his weakest, most exhausted after the war, Flameflow the Magma struck, driving out King Yule and his followers in a violent extension of the killing.

Now he dwells in the northwestern wastes, exiled with his followers in a new Weyr, called by others the Traitor King's Weyr. Other outcasts from the Weyr of Flame, as it is now called, occasionally are cast into the wastes and join the rag-tag band. King Yule is in no position to deny any supporters he can find, after all.

His title, given centuries ago by a human who must be long dead, seems like a joke now, but he is too proud to leave it.
