Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She of the silver tones rarely utilizes this telepathy. Instead, she talks through a haunting melody. It is neither a high squeal, nor is it a growling low; but it does resonate and tremble, like so. She sings this wavering dirge, as others like to say, for one dear and one yet very far away. She is forever calling for this one not of this world, her voice trembling uncertainly and her wings tightly furled. She does not dare to take flight to search for this friend, but with her clear "ru ri ra", she tries to draw them. This gentle, keening lullaby has broken her beyond repair, but still she goes on for the fear of despair. Sung all day, in her sleep, like relentless ticking, the song of Clockwork Lullaby is nonetheless gripping. The dragons of the Dusk Divide Keep have taken her in. Sometimes they sing along, but she goes on, lonely and thin.
