Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This plain dragon lives a simple life, quietly fishing in the salty sea by light and nesting in the washed-out cliffs nearby. Never seeming to have a desire for anything other than her modest life, she obediently follows the Alpha, patiently tends to the hyperactive young, and appears to all a thoroughly ordinary, dutifully dull sort of dragon.

She's not the kind one would imagine to have ideas or aspirations. Most don't even see her as an individual.

Yet, perhaps, if one were to look deep, deep inside, past her placid existence, they would find fantastical dreams of tropical lands bursting with brilliance; the inhabitants all the colors of the rich sunrise striking the waves. Maybe they'd discover all the suppressed visions of laughter and life overflowing into rivers of vibrant joy, the songs of a thousand rainbows, the stories of a thousand eternities.

But maybe all they'd find is an empty sadness, and the merest whiff of a lost dream as far off as the end of the silent ocean
