Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

No one knows much about Chell besides her name. Her very nature is a mystery, likely because she has never communicated directly with anyone besides her mistress, so far as her cave-mates know. Her actions, however, have occasionally brought light to aspects of her personality; on one particular occasion, when Vinr brought some cakes from a nearby village for her dragons to share, strangely enough Chell seemed to be perplexed by the small pastries' very existence! More generally, this dragoness is an abnormally stubborn creature who refuses to give up on anything she is working on, no matter how daunting a challenge the task may be.
