Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

"Come on, Laroresa. Come see the stars."

"Nuh uh," the hatchling wimpered. "Not without Daddy." Laroesa screwed her eyes shut stubbornly.

Her father had taught her all about the stars. She knew the names of all the constellations and the wonderful stories behind them. It just wouldn't be the same without him.

"Look at that star right there," her mother coaxed. Curiosity got the better of her, but the star proved to be just like all the others.

"That star is your daddy. Some dragons' spirits glow so brightly, that when they leave us they light up the night. He's lighting up the night for you, because he knows you're scared of the dark, you silly thing."

The story lost its magic as Laroesa grew, but the star never lost its meaning. Even years later, she still lifts her head skyward every night as she once did with her father. Then, it was a distraction, but now it is a connection to the one she lost. When she looks up she knows he is lighting her way through the dark.
