Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oranu Ri mysteriously appeared as a winter seasonal egg at a cave with bunch of other Caveborn eggs. Oranu Ri was more mature than most others were. She was one of the few that hatched earlier with those who mysteriously appeared on the same day as her. At the moment she hatched, she was very frightened of the other eggs and hatchlings at the cave. But just moments later, she was able to get along with them for awhile. On the day she matured as a hatchling, she went off on her own to survive the world. Oranu Ri kinda feels special because of who she is, a winter seasonal dragon. As she thought about it, she had never met a winter seasonal who is the same breed type as her. So she started to travel to cold places in search for other winter seasonals. It wasn't very easy, she bumped up into many hardships in these cold places especially during winter season. However, she was able to survive it because she is a winter dragon! At one place, she finally met another winter dragon!
