Many once believed that Crypt dragons were omens of ill fortune, prowling old graveyards and abandoned burial sites like sinister guardians. Their unblinking, two-headed gaze can pierce the veil of the spirit realm; one head to condemn the living, the other to guard the dead, as conventional wisdom would have it. Crypt dragons are most active - and their true nature most apparent - when the veil between the living world and spirit realm is at its thinnest. They can be seen gamboling with those souls whose loved ones have long forgotten their names, wispy manes glowing silver-white in the moonlight as they share life with the lifeless and joy with the eternally lost.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

Named for an ancient story, Silently and Very Fast moves as their name suggests through the graveyards and foggy fields of the continent. They speak little, preferring to loom and listen, lurking as they please even across the territory considered to belong to the Weyr of Flame. This strange dragon pays no tithe to the Emperor Flameflow's peacekeepers, and they provide no service to their Weyrmates.

Yet as an Old One, a mysterious Crypt dragon with unusual patterns of manifestation and appearance, there seems to be little anyone can do to stop them from following their own whims. It's fortunate that their inclination seems largely to be lingering in the autumn mist, one face peering intently to listen to those around them, and the other face staring into the distance, as if listening to an entirely separate conversation. As if hearing some other distant, half-remembered voices.

Those not unnerved by their unblinking intensity find Silently and Very Fast to be a loyal, if quiet, friend.
