Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For some reason, this swallowtail likes to place his rump on warm things. Whether its a warm rock or a warm dragon tail, it deserves to be sat on. When he was a small hatchling, he knew nothing of fire except that it was warm. He always watched how some of the older dragons started little fires to cook their food with and he liked to sit next to them to get warm. One day while he was watching one of the dragons start a fire, a small stick caught on fire and rolled away from the pile. OUCH decided to sit on the stick, in the hopes of warming his rear, and ended up getting burned. He promptly yelled "OUCH, my butts on fire!", and scampered off to another older dragon who dumped him in a bucket of water. After that fiasco, he earned his name, and every now and then the dragons giggle whenever they gather for a bonfire cooking. OUCH does not mind at all, since he now sees the comedy of that past escapade.
