Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon was born with an innate sense of fashion and beauty. She knows the perfect way to shine a necklace so that it catches the sun at your throat, the correct color of blush to make her green cheeks glow, the way to tie a silk scarf in a flirty and yet wonderfully innocent fashion. But her favorite pastime, by far, is nail painting. All of her claws are a beautiful jade green, covered with intricate designs in pearl, and her female friends are stupified by her glamor. The males are still at the point where females are, in their opinion, as yucky as dung, and thus don't care about her beautiful appearance, but oh that'll change soon enough...
