Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Grubber is a very messy dragon. He loves to play in mud and all sorts of indescribable things, which has resulted in him being avoided by many of the neater dragons. He dislikes bright light and loves darkness, going so far as to construct a series of burrows connecting his home cave to his favorite haunts. Grubber's very happy that he's in the state he's in, as if he'd grown wings he wouldn't be able to crawl through his burrows as easily. When he's not discovering subterranean wonders, Grubber enjoys tearing open fallen logs to see what strange things are living within them.
