Pargulus Pygmies can often be found tending to plants and foraging for food. They like to care for other living things, be it plant or animal, and will often leave the food from their foraging trips outside the dens of those who need it or even just those they think could use a treat. These colorful little dragons are especially attentive to anyone who might be struggling to find food themselves, such as the elderly, the sick, or the very young. Pargulus pygmies have a surprisingly large range considering their small size. They have been known to travel far and wide to find food to bring back to their friends.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

When Kas was a hatchling, the Sylvain clan introduced him to a baker at the local castle, in the hopes that she would teach him how to identify edible plants out in the wild. Kas was a quick study, but kept showing up late to lessons as he would be foraging in the nearby woods. Rather than scolding him, the baker instead started to instruct Kas by asking him to search for specific ingredients. Eventually the two struck up a bargain with the castle's crew of cooks. Nowadays, Kas will cheerfully trade his rarer foraged delicacies for bulk supplies of bread, meat, and fruits, which he will then distribute to the other dragons in the family whose personal supplies are running low. Since he's rather too small to lift more than one loaf of bread at a time, Kas will often ask for the help of his clan friends. It's become a common sight in the castle to see a large dragon holding an armful of bread exiting the kitchen, Kas perched proudly on their head as they depart for the dragon dwellings.
