White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hajime is the second white dragon adopted by Kiyomi and Kentaro. His name means "Beginning" in Japanese. He is a sweet dragon who loves to help take care of the colony's eggs and hatchlings (when their mothers need a break), and he likes to consider himself the unofficial "doctor" of the colony, helping to heal any hurts his fellow dragons might have. When he met Etsuko he fell in love, even though most of the other dragons thought that it was a pity she looked so plain, he saw the beauty that she had inside and that beauty made her beautiful on the outside as well. He loves snuggling with his mate, and spending every moment he can with her.
