Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Julius Thaleron is not the loudest voice in Thaleron. He spends most of his time traveling and only returns to the House of Thaleron occasionally. During one such visit home, he met the newly-matured (and not yet named) Julia Thaleron. While the others debated on who would be a good mate for her, he kidnapped the stripe, named her, and took her on his next journey. No one in the House of Thaleron knew what had happened to her until she returned and laid a silver egg. Soon after the silver hatched, Julius took her away again. While the couple's short visits puzzle the other members of the house, they recognize that the pair are happy and leave them in peace. As for Julius, he enjoys his privacy and stays away from family politics.
