Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

The Forever Child, also known as Evie, ran afoul of her cave's red tape: one male and one female allowed, except in exceptional circumstances. Unfortunately, Evie just didn't quite cut the mustard to be allowed to continue to maturity. However, despite her initial resentment of being forever frozen as a hatchling, her happy-go-lucky, resilient spirit meant she soon came to realize the joys of always being able to frolic as a youngster. She still takes guarding very seriously, but due to her size only guards the eggs and hatchlings. The young dragons appreciate this, as it means they can roam more freely from the adults than they would otherwise be allowed.

Evie loves playing practical jokes, especially on adult dragons that are technically younger than she is. Sometimes however her jokes get out of hand, and someone gets hurt. When this happens, she is terribly remorseful and tries to help fix things as much as she can. This good-hearted nature means she is soon forgiven again.
