Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Juggle is a miracle. This is no exaggeration. She is the baby of Tarak and Altarea, two dragons who are completely different. But for them, love shone through.

Juggle was named so because on the day of her birth, she was dropped mid-air, only to be caught again and then re-dropped again as the wind picked up. Thus, she was being juggled mid-air. Juggle is also slightly unusual. She will never grow up because of a spell placed on her. But that's another story for another time..
