Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s kind of shaky on its feet and enjoys playing in puddles.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Slippery Deeds is a small Waterhorse hatchling. Though not a fan of being on land, Deeds will sometimes come out and try and find playmates, usually Star Wards and Unlegged Lightning. The trio like to imagine they've got their own group, as all three are part of the Protectors. They usually play at night, when Lightning has to sneak out behind Wards to join Slippery Deeds. They then join together and play.

As all three of them were cursed by an evil Magi Dragon—thankfully dead now—they're forever hatchlings. But that doesn't mean they can't help! Deeds helps Darkened Water Soul and Water's Glider fish for the entire group. These trips are often successful with rarer fish, but rarely—trash. If they find something bad, they'll always get rid of it by bringing it to the surface and asking Altway Flame to burn it.

Deeds doesn't have any other Waterhorse friends, however. She knows she isn't the last one, but she longs for company of someone of her own kind.
