Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Not-a-Swan claims to have been born as an inanimate origami swan, enchanted into becoming a living origami swan. Although he was made of paper, therefore genderless, he always referred to himself as a male among his origami swan friends.

One day, Not-a-Swan claims he and his friends were holding a competition to see which paper swan could eat the largest object or animal. Not-a-Swan was determined to win, and soon sought out a very magically skilled dragon, whom he devoured and won the competition, being rewarded with a gold medal!

However, the dragon had cursed the swan beforehand. That night, during the little swan's slumber, he began to transform. By morning, he had become an origami form of the dragon he had eaten! He no longer fit in with his friends. Disheartened, he ran off to join the dragons in a cave, where he hoped he would be accepted by some new origami dragon friends. Many dragons now ponder Not-A-Swan's story, wondering if their friend really was a little paper swan.
