Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tranquila is a loyal and faithful mate to Emeraldan, who was the first dragon Orion, the owner of the cave, ever discovered as a young teenager.  After Tranquila arrived shortly after the two hatchlings, Tranquila and Emeraldan always played happily together and never seemed to fight and it was rare when they disagreed on things.  Over time this friendship bloomed into love and the two conceived a beautiful young dragon named Decorum.  She often describes her relationship with Emeraldan as a gentle balance, being much lighter than Emeraldan she can fly more gracefully, but more often likes to sneak up on him and wrap Emeraldan in her wings, they have been observed talking with her on his back like this for whole evenings sometimes.  No matter what seems to happen, Emeraldan and Tranquila appear to be probably two of the happiest dragons in the cave.  Their relationship often serves as inspiration that the right mate could be right next to you, all you have to do is look.
