Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Beraun is quite familiar with most the currently existing dragon settlements, thanks to his habit of acquiring another sweetheart in each new place he visits (none of whom ever find out about any other claim on his affections until much later).  He stays just long enough in any one place to declare his eternal love and devotion to his latest love interest, and then he vanishes the next morning, never to return.  Beraun paints himself as the innocent victim, claiming they're just attracted to him no matter what he does, but most dragons either find him wishy-washy or downright despicable, depending on how much of his past history they know and whether they were one of his prior victims.  Beraun is quickly running out of weyrs to visit that haven't yet heard of him, and it seems very likely that soon he'll arrive at a new place and be confronted by every dragon he's ever jilted.
