White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Ice dragons of Laura-Lana's Clan had been a huge problem for the White dragons of the clan. Their skin is so cold that any White dragon trying to heal them ended up with frostbite. Yet young Winterstaub seemed to seek their presence even as a hatchling. When he was grown he insisted on being assigned as the Ice dragon's healer. To everyone's surprise it turned out he had a natural resistance against cold and could treat Ice dragons without danger to himself. The other White dragons in Laura-Lana's clan admire his courage and his inner strength. Winterstaub enjoys the admiration. He is never going to tell anyone that his mother is an Ice dragon herself.
