Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

After hatching, Beladora's bright scales stood out brightly in her territory. So easily spotted, Beladora was an easy target for predators, constantly ending in the teeth of full grown dragons. Only from the protection of her pack did she manage to escape the grips of enemies, though the constant attacks scarred her even into adulthood.

Beladora, though full grown, has developed a habit of watching the ground as she walks. She does so to keep an eye out for any over hanging shadows. If a dragon were to fly by above her, Beladora promptly faints. Some troublesome dragons find this amusing, flying overhead constantly to watch her drop. Her pack mates don't take kindly to this treatment, often taking to flight and fighting any troublemakers in retaliation. Though those outside of the pack find the quirky trait strange, her pack take it seriously and will attack anything that startles her. Beladora refuses to fly as she can't keep an eye on the shadows when she does.
