Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In a certain far-off country, there is a mountain where the great lights of the night seem almost to touch the peak; the auroras contort and ripple around the stony cliffs as if inviting them to dance. The peaks don't answer, but a lone silver dragon does--bounding out to the very edge of the sheerest cliffs, leaping and twisting and contorting in perfect time with the movements of the light. Many who have seen her say that her beauty is greater than even that of the auroras to whose rhythm she dances... but sadly she is an elusive beauty indeed, appearing only on the rare nights when the auroras appear and remaining mysteriously undetectable at all other times.
