Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Jivana is a young Ultraviolet female. She was raised by Gemini on a strict discipline course as Gemini doesn't want her child to act wild and as if she had no sense. Her mother took Jivana to the desert so that Jivana wouldn't be ruined by the foolishness of the other hatchlings. Jivana acts like a dutiful daughter but she really is bright, curious and just wants to enjoy herself without having the reserve of her mother. She has a close bond with desert dragons for she was raised with them.
